About the Program


Food Funda Summer Camp is a 3-week program on food and nutrition for children. The program is designed to empower children with the right knowledge and practices on food and nutrition, through interactive and fun-filled workshops, games and activities.


The main objectives of the program are to:

  1. To improve knowledge on the basics of food and nutrition.

  2. To enable children to plan balanced meals, covering various macronutrients and micronutrients.

  3. To empower children to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy foods.

  4. To induce behaviour change among children to start choosing healthy foods.

  5. To enable children to prepare simple healthy food at home.

This program has been designed by Dt. Sonam, who is a nutritionist with more than 14 years experience and herself a mother of an 8-year old. The program will be delivered in partnership with XFitKids, fitness coaching for kids by Coach Aditya.


What will the Kids Learn?


The program includes the following topics:

  • Why is food important?

  • What does food contain: Macronutrients and Micronutrients

  • Healthy cooking

  • Designing a balanced meal

  • Junk food and how to ‘unjunk’ your food

  • What to eat outside – Choosing the right foods

  • Reading food labels


What will the Kids Get?


All participants will receive a certificate on the successful completion of the program. In addition, children may receive prizes based on their participation in various games and activities.


More importantly, our past programs have shown an improvement in knowledge, attitude and behaviour towards healthy eating among children. In particular, among other things, children have started:

  • Trying healthy recipes;

  • Choosing the right foods; and

  • Tracking and changing their eating behaviour.

Program Duration and Dates


The program consists of 6 sessions over 3 weeks from May 15 to May 30, 2021. All sessions will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 4 to 5 PM. The program will be delivered online.


Who is the Program for?


The program is suitable for children from 9 to 15 years of age.


What does the Program Cost?


The Program costs Rs. 2,000/- only (all inclusive). But we are currently offering a discount so you can register only for Rs. 1,500/- (all inclusive). Limited seats only.
