RAADHIKA GUPTA

CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A lawyer passionate towards working for social change, Raadhika has experience of working with the World Bank and the Government of India’s Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. She has extensive experience in the international development sector, including in programme design and management, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and policy and regulatory design and implementation. After pursuing her BALLB (Hons) from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad and LLM from Harvard Law School, USA, Raadhika served as law faculty at the OP Jindal Global University, Sonipat. She has been widely published in Indian and international journals and books on various issues, including human rights, gender, education, disability and health. Her desire to use her knowledge and experience to bring grassroots-level change led to the birth of Foodshaala Foundation. She was selected by the School for Social Entrepreneurs India for their prestigious Social Start-Up Fellowship Programme 2018, providing her with a valuable mentorship and training opportunity for developing Foodshaala.

AMIT GUPTA

CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Amit brings to Foodshaala his passion for a healthy lifestyle, management skills and dedication towards social impact work. He was a Teach for India Fellow from 2013 to 2015, during which he worked in a budget school to improve students’ learning levels, school’s governance practices and school infrastructure through fundraising. He also co-founded KhelKhelMein, an initiative to take sports to underprivileged children for their physical and mental development. His commitment towards the health of children from low-income backgrounds continued during his MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, where he organized a football tournament for children from tribal areas. Amit’s passion for healthy eating and fitness reflects in his personal life as well. As an avid cook, he loves trying new healthy recipes in free time. A fitness enthusiast, he has completed nine half-marathons as well as a full marathon.

VIMAL PRABA

LEARNING MANAGER

A social entrepreneur by profession, Vimal brings in diverse experience having worked with various organizations in the fields of education, skill training, agriculture and organic food supply chain. His interest in the social sector started right from his engineering days, after his graduation as a mechanical engineer from the Pondicherry University. He accidentally started working with UnLtd Tamil Nadu, a social business incubator, which allowed him to explore the basics of social entrepreneurship. His exploration on social entrepreneurship further led him to pursue his masters’ in social innovation and entrepreneurship from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur. He also has the experience of working in a social enterprise on skills training to children. Though he had ventured into multiple developmental fields, his heart lies in making India a healthy and food secure nation. As a Co-founder of the organization, he focuses on program and strategy development.

DR. RUPAL DALAL

Pediatrician

Dr. Rupal is the director of health and nutrition at Shrimati Malati Dahanukar Trust, Mumbai, an organization committed towards eradicating childhood malnutrition and empowering women. After working in the US for many years as a paediatrician, she returned to India to work towards improving the health status of underprivileged children. Her goal is to train doctors, nurses, nutritionists and others on child nutrition to make India a malnutrition-free nation. She has been facilitated for outstanding achievement in promoting literacy among underprivileged children at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, USA.

LISA SLATER

Chef and Food Industry Expert

Lisa has over 40 years of experience in public and private food service sectors in the US and Canada. She has run her own restaurants, bakeries and franchise businesses as well as opened and operated numerous Whole Foods Market grocery stores in Toronto and Ottawa, Canada. Food security is a major concern for her. She consults and volunteers in food service.
