A Bit About Us

As the above facts and figures reveal, India is suffering from the triple burden of malnutrition: undernutrition (lack of proper nutrition), overnutrition (overconsumption of certain nutrients) and nutrient deficiency (deficiency of vitamins and minerals). A large part of the population is not able to access even the minimum amount of affordable healthy food required to nourish the body. At the same time, unhealthy food is becoming increasingly accessible, even among low-income communities, leading to an increase in lifestyle and food-related disorders in India.

Foodshaala Foundation is the result of our determination to change this disturbing reality and make true the vision of a food and nutrition secure world. We believe that the solution to the problem of malnutrition rests on the two primary pillars of increased access to healthy food and increased knowledge on healthy eating.

Accordingly, our vision is to ensure a world where every person is able to make healthy food a part of their daily life. Our mission is to enable people to choose and access healthy food.
